Trolley Storage Bays

One of the things that came out the recent Torrance House Golf Survey was the lack of storage facilities for members golf trolleys. We listened and Committee Member Robert McClymont stepped up to the plate and delivered the goods, in style.

The first stage involved emptying the copious amount of junk from the loft to make space for the new facility. Many thanks to all those who gave up their free time to help carry stuff down the stairs and into the not one, but two skips we ended up needing. Not going to name names but you know who you are and we are grateful for the help offered.

With the space cleared Robert set about building the trolley bays and after some blood, sweat, tears and maybe the odd swear word we now have 58 trolley bays available. Each bay has a loop to secure your trolley. Please note locking cables are not provided by Torrance House Golf Club and should be purchased by the individual should they wish to secure their trolley in such a manner. A key fob system will be installed, with only those who rent a bay having access to the facility.

With the facility near completion those on the list for a bay will be contacted in due course. Please note that this area is for trolleys only and nothing else should be stored within this area like golf shoes, clubs, bags etc. All sockets with the attic area are out of bounds and should NOT be used to charge trolley batteries etc. A bin, dustpan and brush have been provided and should be used to clean up any grass or mud which may fall off your trolley.

Once again a huge thank you to Robert and al the helpers for all the time and hard work which was put into renovating what was wasted space in the attic.
