Rain Stops Play

The curse of Torrance House Golf Club opening fixture of the season strikes again! The opening and closing day of last season saw the weather win in the battle between course being playable or not, and yet again we fall foul of the weather on opening day. The joys of being located in EK!

To be fair, not many courses have managed to survive the onslaught of torrential rain we’ve experienced of late. Even Bangor Golf Course in Belfast have cancelled their comp for this weekend as the course is flooded. Bangor is a private members club too I may add, so it’s not just the council course that are being affected.

Even the home of golf has been victim of the elements over the years.
